Based in Washington, DC, his primary focus is originating, structuring and executing office and industrial investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate, and private owners of real estate. Gerald has over 16 years of real estate transaction experience representing over $4 billion in value. Since joining Transwestern in 1999, Gerald has sold over 12 million square feet of office properties in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Jim enjoys over 16 years of real estate experience that includes financial analysis, property management, and syndication.  Since teaming with Gerry Trainor in 2001, Jim has coordinated nearly $4 billion in offerings, delivering seamless transaction experience for his clients.  Jim is responsible for managing the investment sales process to assure the full execution of both the investment sales and capital market transactions.  His ability to underwrite, find value and implement a strategic marketing campaign has proven to be a key element in delivering superior pricing to institutional, corporate and private owners of real estate.  Further, Jim's abilities have successfully elevated the ICG team to be the #1 Transwestern sales team for calander year 2006 and 2007.

Bob Filley

SMALL CAP SPECIALIST

Bob plays a lead role in the disposition of office and industrial properties in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Based in Washington, DC, his primary focus is originating, structuring and executing office and industrial investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate, and private owners of real estate.  Bob has nearly 15 years of commercial real estate experience including development, leasing, sales and finance.  Since joining Transwestern in 2002, Bob has been involved in the sale of over $400 million in office, industrial properties in the Washington, DC region.  Prior to joining Transwestern, Mr. Filley was with L.J. Melody in Seattle where he was involved in over $200 million in financing over his three-year tenure.  Mr. Filley has also worked in multi-family and commercial development.  While with the Koll Development Company (Irvine, CA), Mr. Filley worked abroad on shopping center development in Taiwan and China.  Mr. Filley has developed a wide skill set of real estate expertise and speaks Mandarin Chinese. Mr. Filley earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Washington.

Dan is an integral member of the Institutional Commercial Group.  Based in Washington, DC, his primary focus is originating, structuring and executing investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate, and private owners of real estate.  Dan plays a lead role in the disposition of mixed-use retail, office and industrial properties in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Dan has over 11 years of successful real estate experience with a diverse background in investment sales, leasing and research.  Prior to joining Transwestern, Dan was an associate with GVA Advantis where he assisted the Investment Services Group in the successful completion of over 42 investment sales transactions during his three and a half year tenure. Dan hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Marymount University.

Jim specializes in investment sales of suburban office and flex/ industrial product throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with a strong concentration in the suburban Maryland markets.  Jim has in excess of 20 years of commercial real estate experience and has negotiated in excess of 5,000,000 square feet of transactions for institutional owners, local operators and corporate users of real estate.

Kenneth L. Marks

Ken is active in brokering commercial real estate sales and leasing opportunities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and nationwide. Skilled in all phases of commercial real estate, he represents major developers in marketing their properties, as well as corporate and professional clients who seek new space.

Ken began his career with Legum and Gerber Realty in 1967 as a property manager and later joined Carey Winston, subsequently Transwestern in 1969 as a commercial salesman specializing in leasing.  During his career, Mr. Marks has leased and/or sold over 22 million square feet of industrial/commercial space with an aggregate value of well over 1 billion dollars.  Among the most notable transactions in which Mr. Marks was involved include:  The purchase by Xerox Corporation of 2,200 acres in Leesburg, Virginia known as Lansdowne.

During his career, Mr. Marks, has leased and/or sold over 22 million square feet of space with an aggregate value of well over 2 billion dollars.

Stephen is responsible for financial modeling and analysis the preparation of offering materials and assisting in the execution of marketing materials. Based in Washington, D.C., his primary focus is to assist in the execution of investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate and private owners of real estate. Prior to joining Transwestern, Stephen worked as a real estate research analyst with CoStar Group, Inc. in Bethesda, Maryland.  His responsibilities included developing broker relations, tracking market conditions and producing comparable sales reports on over $600 million in commercial transactions throughout the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Stephen is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the District of Columbia and Commonwealth of Virginia.

Andrew Czekaj

Andrew is responsible for financial modeling and the preparation of offering materials. Based in Washington, D.C., his primary focus is to assist in the execution of investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate and private owners of real estate. Prior to joining Transwestern, Andrew worked at Trammel Crow Company in Orlando, Florida where he played an important role on the East Coast Capital Markets Team which specialized in the investment sales of commercial properties throughout the southeast United States.  His responsibilities included preparing the due diligence of marketing research and financial analysis for commercial properties.  Andrew holds an MBA from Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rollins College.
